Canadian Forces Skyhawks

Established in 1971, the SkyHawks have captivated millions of spectators worldwide with their awe-inspiring demonstrations of skill, precision, and teamwork. With over 4,200 shows under their belt, the SkyHawks have performed in countries such as Japan, France, and Australia, as well as in Canada and the United States. Some of their most notable performances include the Rolling Stones concert in 2003, the Juno Beach Centre opening celebrations in Normandy, and the 60th anniversary of the Liberation of Holland.

The SkyHawks’ success is built on its members’ hard work and dedication, who represent a wide range of trades and officer classifications within the Canadian Forces. Each year, the team undergoes extensive training to prepare for their show season, which runs from March to October. Over 3,400 parachute descents are completed at their training camp to ensure that every member is ready to perform a spectacular show for the audience.

Setting The Stage for Talent

At the Abbotsford International Airshow, spectators will be treated to a breathtaking display of skill and athleticism by the SkyHawks. With their signature Canopy Relative Work (CRW), they’ll form stunning formations in the sky, showcasing incredible aerial maneuvers and perfect landings. Dazzling smoke trails will paint the sky as the team members execute their perfectly choreographed routines, resulting in a visually stunning performance that will leave spectators in awe.

In addition to their thrilling parachute demonstrations, the SkyHawks are also dedicated to inspiring others, especially the youth. As ambassadors of the Canadian Forces, they aim to promote awareness of the military’s role in society, fostering connections with the communities they visit. The SkyHawks also strive to motivate others to pursue their dreams and aspirations, no matter how high they may seem.
