The Abbotsford International Airshow is made possible through the support, dedication, and participation of our many volunteers. We’d love to have you join our team and share the excitement!

Our online 2022 volunteer registration is now open! Kindly fill up the form below and click on the area(s) that interest you to complete the application. We do our best to accommodate volunteer requests, but please understand that we can’t always place every volunteer in their desired area.

What’s in it for you?

  • Specific training as required – learn new skills!
  • Lunch & beverages are always provided
  • A great experience as an ambassador for the Abbotsford International Airshow
  • Volunteer/community service hours for student programs

Guest Services – This is one of the most important positions at the Airshow! We have numerous opportunities to host or serve in various Airshow venues. Some serving areas require volunteers to be 19 years or older. ServingItRight and/or FoodSafe certifications are an asset.

Onsite Operations – These positions help keep the show running smoothly and can include a variety of tasks.

Patron Safety – Patron Safety volunteers operate alongside local police and security personnel to keep our show and guests safe. This includes a variety of duties across the event grounds. Volunteers for this crew must be 18 years or older.

Setup & Takedown – Much of the most critical work to make the Airshow possible happens long before our planes take to the sky. From June through end of August, many preparations are made to ready the airport for the Airshow, and then restore it again. This includes:

  • Painting & construction projects
  • Equipment & facility repairs
  • Plumbing & electrical preparations
