26th Annual Fraser Valley Children’s Festival

Not only are there many hands-on activities for kids, but this event also features vendors, music, and creative inspiration. Their focus is fun and laughter, so be prepared to have a wonderful time!

Farmville at Taves Family Farms Applebarn

Farmville is open from 11 am to 6 pm every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer. It’s the perfect family-friendly activity in Abbotsford as you can feed goats, ride pedal carts, and see lots of animals like peacocks, piglets, and many others. There are also mini donuts and apple cider slushies available to purchase, so go hungry!

Vancouver International Children’s Festival

Are you looking for outdoor activities in Metro Vancouver? Then head to the Vancouver International Children’s Festival, taking place from May 31 through June 5. There are many educational aspects to the festival, including performances, an activity village, and much more.

FVDED in the Park

Happening on July 8 and 9, this family-friendly music festival takes place over two days and has an all-star lineup of performers. Not only is there fantastic music in an outdoor atmosphere, but there are also lots of food vendors so you can eat while you enjoy the shows. FVDED in the Park takes place in Surrey’s Holland Park.

39th Annual Berry Fest

Love berries? Summer is the season to get fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Berry Fest celebrates this fun aspect of summer as it features flavors, entertainment, and vendors at this long-running street festival. It all takes place in downtown Abbotsford on July 16 from 12 pm to 8 pm.

Surrey Urban Farmers Market

Starting June 11, the Surrey Urban Farmers Market is open each Saturday. It takes place at Royal Kwantlen Park, which has a playground, skate park, and pool, so plan to spend the whole day. The market features artisans, food producers, entertainment, workshops, and kids’ activities from 10 am to 3 pm.

Abbotsford International Airshow

Save the dates of August 5 to 7 for the Abbotsford International Airshow, which features three days of family fun. See aircraft up close, view a fireworks display, and participate in the S.T.E.M. Zone. But, of course, the highlight is all of the aerial stunts done by planes in the sky — you don’t want to miss it!
