ABBOTSFORD, BC – The Abbotsford International Airshow Society has named Dr. Jasna Deluce its new Chair of the Board of Directors. Dr. Deluce is a medical oncologist, based at the BC Cancer in Abbotsford and holds a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of British Columbia. Deluce succeeds outgoing Board Chair Ken Kendall and becomes only the second female Chair in the Airshow Society’s 62-year history.
Although she chose medicine as a career path, Jasna is an avid aviation enthusiast. Her family has over 50 years of experience in the airline business and both her grandfather and uncle have been inducted into the Canadian Aviation Hall of Fame. Her grandfather and brother both served as pilots in the RCAF and her father still works as a commercial pilot. Jasna first flew solo at the age of 15 and plans to complete her private pilot’s licence someday soon.
A recent transplant from London, Ontario, Jasna is also currently serving her third term as a member of Airshow London’s Board of Directors where she has been involved for many years.
