GearBots 2021 Summer STEM Camps

Camp One 
Theme:  Introduction to Machine Learning and Data Science
Description: In this introductory course, students will learn all about the exciting world of Machine Learning and Data Science.   Students will learn how to build data sets to train a machine using images taken with a cell phone or tablet to identify common objects.  Then they will learn how to make web pages that use a webcam and JavasScript to demonstrate the machine’s ability to learn.  Parents will need to set up a GitHub account for the camp – Click here for a GitHub tutorial.  Students will be using the following:  Edge Impulse, TinyML, and JavaScript
Course Dates: July 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 for 15 hours of STEM fun!
Day and Time: Virtual camp runs Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm.
Ages: 13+
Instructor:  Mr. Jeremy Ellis
Required equipment: Students will need access to a personal device with a camera that can access wifi (no SIM card needed), access to a computer with a microphone and web camera, a Gmail account they know how to access for our google classroom, and Zoom installed on the computer.

Description:

Requirement: You must have a laptop or desktop running Windows OS or Mac OS.  We will be using Zoom for the duration of the camp.  Check to make sure you have the required software loaded onto your computer prior to the start of the camp.  Note: Our Kerbal camps require that you have purchased the software directly from their site.
