Military/Warbird Static Aircraft

The Abbotsford Airshow is keen to show its visitors the various types of aircraft in use and formerly used by local and foreign militaries.

The time commitment for the Abbotsford Airshow is 3-5 days; arrival is Thursday/Friday AM, departure is Sunday PM/Monday.

General Aviation

The goal of the General Aviation Display at the Abbotsford International Airshow is to display a comprehensive cross section of aircraft used in private, corporate and flight training roles throughout North America.

Displays from the following categories will be solicited. In order to give our public a broad overview of aviation, it is proposed that there be no duplication of models and confirmation will be on a first come first serve basis.

  • Antique
  • Classic
  • Warbird
  • Certified
  • Aerobatic
  • Float
  • Homebuilt
  • Ultralight

PROVISIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS

  • 2 one-day individual admission badges per aircraft per day
  • 2 one-day Runway Seating passes per aircraft per day
  • 1 complimentary camping permit per aircraft valid for duration of stay

DISPLAY DETAIL

The Abbotsford Airshow Society will give priority to those aircraft owners who can commit an aircraft for static display for the entire three days of the event (arriving after 1800h on Thursday, and departing after the flying events on Sunday).

Any approved display aircraft which are not available for the entire weekend must be on-site prior to 0830h on the morning of their arrival.

Aircraft on display will be supplied with:

  • Ropes and stanchions for crowd control around the aircraft
  • Chocks
  • Tie Downs (if necessary)
  • Aircraft Security: Military Police and Airshow Security are onfield 24hrs/day, and the Airport is secured with chain link fence at the perimeter
