USAF Thunderbirds - The Thunderbirds, in their red,
white and blue F-16 Fighting Falcons make a welcome return
to Abbotsford in 2008 after a two year absence.
CF-18 Hornet - Tactical demonstration of Canada's front line jet fighter. The Hornet's primary roles include air defence, training, tactical support, and air superiority.
F/A-18F Super Hornet - The F/A-18F Super Hornet has replaced the F-14 Tomcat as US Navy's top-line jet fighter aircraft. The Super Hornet is extremely
manoeuvrable, which will be quite evident during its display.
P-51 Mustang - The range, speed and high altitude capabilities of the P-51 enabled Allied forces to escort bombers far deeper into enemy territory than any other fighter aircraft during WWII. This allowed the continuation and fruition of the American Bomber force's tactic of precision daylight bombing.
B-25 Mitchell - The B-25 Mitchell was made famous in 1942 by the famous Doolittle Raid on Tokyo. The B-25 at Abbotsford in 2008 comes from the Minnesoata Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.
Kent Pietsch - Kent Pietsch flies a comedy act in his 1942 Interstate Cadet that includes extreme
manoeuvres such as an aileron falling off in mid air. In addition, Kent performs a dead stick (total power off) aerobatic routine from an altitude of 6,000 feet.
Warren Pietsch - Warren joins his brother Kent at Abbotsford for the first time flying his incredible aerobatic demonstration in his Clipped Wing Taylorcraft.
Bill Carter - Canada's own Bill Carter returns to Abbotsford for the second time in his modified Pitts Special S2S. He last performed at Abbotsford in 2001.
